Jeffrey R. Harmer is the EPR Group Leader at the Centre for Advanced Imaging (CAI), the University of Queensland, Australia.
He completed his PhD in 2000 from the University of Newcastle, Australia, with Marcel Maeder, before developing expertise in EPR spectroscopy at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zürich with Arthur Schweiger (2000–2007) and at the University of Oxford’s Centre for Advanced Electron Spin Resonance (CAESR), 2007–2013. His current research focuses on EPR spectroscopy in two areas, structure and reactivity of the active site of enzymes, metal complexes, and catalysts and determining the structure and function of biomolecules using intrinsic paramagnetic centres and spin labels.
