Ramakrishna Damle obtained his Master’s degree in Physics from University of Mysore in 1983 and Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Science in 1990. In the same year he joined Bangalore University as a Faculty member and currently he is a Professor in the Department of Physics, Bangalore University. He has also served as the Chair of the Department of Physics for 2 years (2015-2016). He is the recipient of Commonwealth Academic Staff Fellowship for the year 2005 and has served as visiting Professor for 6 months in the University of Kent, UK. NMR and ESR studies in solids is one of his research interests. He is also working on IFNMR studies in magnetic nanoparticles. He has published about 100 research papers in journals and conference proceedings. He was nominated as the Secretary of APES for the term 2014-16 and Vice President for the term 2016-18.
